Room prices and additional costs
- We charge per hour, per space – prices vary depending on which spaces you are looking for.
- “Dry Hire” means the hire of space/s in the building without any extra features: no accompanying technical equipment, catering, stock, installation, or staff beyond duty managers.
- A full day discount price can be applied if you are hiring a space from 9am-5pm, any additional time outside of this will be charged per hour.
- If you are hiring multiple spaces at the same times, we can offer reduced rates for these add-on spaces. For example, if you are hiring the Pyramid hall and would like to use the Kelvingrove room as a breakaway space, the quote will include the full price for The Pyramid Space, and a reduced add-on rate for the Kelvingrove room.
- For add-on spaces, the largest space will be charged at the full standard rate – The Pyramid Space cannot be charged as an add-on space.
- The minimum booking time for all spaces during office hours is 1 hour. For hires starting after 5pm, or over the weekend, the minimum booking time is 3 hours.
Rates and Discounts
Our rates vary depending on the times of the booking
- Bookings within our standard business hours (9am-5pm on weekdays) are charged at a lower rate than bookings over evenings and weekends.
- If a booking begins during business hours and extends into the evening, the hours before 5pm will be charged at the daytime rate, and the remaining time charged at evening rate.
- We may offer a discounted community rate to ordinary members of The Pyramid at Anderston, local charities and non-profits, and to events that are open to the public and which benefit our local community.
- We charge a higher Film & TV rate for filming and recording hires which require us to close the building to ensure quiet on set. Prep and strike times for these bookings are charged at 50% of the full Film & TV rate.
- We offer a 15% overall discount on space hire costs for events that are over 3 or more days, either consecutively or for block bookings (e.g. once a week for 4 weeks).
All rates and discounts are at the discretion of the events team at the Pyramid.
Additional Staffing Costs
What the pyramid offers in terms of set up, facilities hire, extra staffing, technical support, catering or cleaning will be made explicit in writing before the event, and will not be able to be changed without advance notice.
Deposits
For bookings under £500 the full payment is required to secure the booking. For bookings over £500, a 20% deposit is required to secure the booking, with the full payment expected two weeks prior to or before the event, whichever occurs first.
A cleaning deposit will be required for events with higher potential for mess, e.g. events where food will be served. The cleaning deposit is £60 for all halls and £40 for all rooms. This is to be paid in cash on the day of the event.
Cancellation Terms
If you wish to cancel completely, please contact us as soon as you can. Our usual policy is to charge a percentage of the booking fee for a cancellation depending on the notice given. 48 hours or less = 100% of fee,48 hours to 7 days = 50% of booking fee, 7 – 14 days = deposit or Admin fees. Please note that deposits are non-returnable.
VAT
The Pyramid at Anderston is VAT registered, meaning by law we charge 20% VAT on all hires including add-ons. Our prices lists do not include VAT – we give all customers clear information on full price breakdowns and then VAT is added onto the final quote.
