Pedal Glasgow G3

Pedal Glasgow G3 – a fun, welcoming, free-to-enter cycling event for people new to cycling and families.
Pedal Glasgow G3 will cover a beginner-friendly three-mile route, taking in the Clyde waterfront using existing cycle paths. The route will criss cross the river – from The Pyramid, Anderston to Glasgow Science Centre and back. This is a perfect opportunity to enjoy and explore some of the local, traffic-free cycling routes along the River Clyde.
After completing the ride you will finish back at The Pyramid and can enjoy entertainment, crafts, refreshments and a community table top sale. You’ll also get the opportunity to repair your bike with Dr Bike and take advantage of Police Scotland’s FREE bike marking service.
The Pedal Glasgow G3 route is just under 5km, and on mainly flat ground – along dedicated cycle lanes (National Cycle Route 75) or shared pedestrian/cycle paths.
The route has been chosen to be as accessible as possible – there are no hills, just one slope that takes you up onto the bridge to cross over the Clydeside Expressway.
Also, there is a half-way point, where you could take a break in the outside space at Glasgow Science Centre – if you needed to have a wee rest. There will also be a water refill station and bicycle maintenance station next to the bike shed outside Glasgow Science Centre in case anyone requires it.
Pedal Glasgow G3 is not a race – it is a chance to enjoy cycling through our city!
