Anderston Matters
News from The Pyramid at Anderston and Anderston Community Council
YOUR PYRAMID
Located in the heart of the community at 759 Argyle Street, The Pyramid is a vibrant and welcoming hub with a mission to MAKE ANDERSTON FLOURISH.
Whether you’ve lived here all your life, or you’re brand new to the area, The Pyramid is owned by the local community and belongs to you.
Our iconic Pyramid has begun a remarkable transformation, with more to come. Originally built as a church in the 1960s, the building’s future was uncertain when the congregation moved on. However, through the collective efforts of local people, it was successfully taken into community ownership in 2019. This milestone marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for The Pyramid, and since then we have completed the first phase of development, including our refurbished Sports Hall and Community Kitchen, new toilets, and accessibility improvements.
Alongside, we have developed activities and services to meet the diverse needs and interests of the community, with wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.
Read on to find out more and how to get involved.

Anderston Matters
Our Local Place Plan that shouts about Anderston and what matters to us.
Land, buildings, streets and green spaces shape how we live in a place – what should happen in Anderston? The Local Place Plan will share OUR local voice with Glasgow City Council, other local stakeholders and funders.
What is a Local Place Plan?
• A new way to tell the Council your ideas and vision for your community.
• An opportunity to say what you want and need from existing and future land and buildings.

• Glasgow City Council has to consider including the ideas in our LPP in the next City Development Plan.
How to take part:
• Go online and complete our survey thepyramid.scot/lpp
• Pick up a paper survey when you’re at The Pyramid, or come and talk to us in person at The Pyramid: 26th March, 11am – 7pm, 27th March, 12.30pm – 6pm, 28th March, 11am – 3pm.
