Building Works
If you’ve recently passed by The Pyramid you will have noticed that we still have major renovation works going on in our beautiful building. We hope to have our Community Kitchen and ground floor Community Hall ready for the New Year (fingers crossed) and can’t wait to welcome our community back into these brand-new and improved spaces!
We are still open despite our building works – please check our full events calendar to see what’s on.
Thank You Hallowe’en Guisers!
We were pleased to see so many of you all dressed up at The Pyramid for our Hallowee’en Celebrations! A lot of fun was had – we made broomsticks and lanterns, painted turnips, played donuts-on-a-string, made some monster drawings and played spooooky games. Our Guisers then enjoyed some tasty treats and warming drinks!
We were so busy having fun – we hardly took any photos. So, if you have any pictures that you can share with us – please send them in!
Meet Sarah – Our New Food Projects Coordinator.
Hi, I’m Sarah, and I joined the Pyramid in September as Food Projects Coordinator.
I am passionate about food and community and have been involved in projects across Glasgow since 2016. I love how food can bring people together and I enjoy learning how it is celebrated in different cultures. I’m currently studying herbalism and foraging, finding out what edible plants grow around us and how we can work with them. I’m really looking forward to the Pyramid’s Community Kitchen reopening and for us to continue our community meals in 2023. In the meantime, you can find me in the Community Shop on Thursdays and Fridays – please do say hello!
Bulb Planting with Anderston Green Spaces
Join the Anderston Green Spaces crew on Saturday 19th of October at 13:00 to plant bulbs in the new Community Garden space on the corner of Elderslie St & William St. We’re planning to help G3 Litter Free out with their regular monthly litter picking session beforehand.
Email anderstongreenspaces@gmail.com to find out more. Hope to see you there!
Women Integration Network
Members of the Women Integration Network are going on a trip to Glasgow Women’s Library on Thurs 10 November to visit the space and learn about the incredible resources available for women there. Last month some members of the group took a trip to Glasgow Science Centre to watcha screening of Under African Skies in the Planetarium as part of Black History Month. Group members experienced the night sky from Africa and learnt about the importance of the stars in cultures across the world.

Pyramid Festive Hampers
We’ll be providing festive hampers to those in our community who need a bit of help again this year. Last year, we were able to supply over 60 hampers to families and local people. If you’d like to support others in your community, you can make a donation – any amount is very welcome!
If you would like to nominate yourself, a family member, friend or neighbour to be considered for a free hamper of food and treats please email hampers@thepyramid.scot or pop in to see us at 759 Argyle St, Glasgow G3 8DS. Please note, hampers can only be provided to those living in the G3 7 and G3 8 postcode areas.
Christmas @ The Pyramid
Ho! Ho! Ho! Christmas is coming… join us on Friday 9 December at The Pyramid and the Salvation Army building – before the local Christmas lights are switched on at 7pm for festive fun as the community comes together to celebrate – and of course, to meet Santa and Mrs Claus! More details coming soon…
ReMake Christmas
Join us on Saturday 10 December for our antidote to the frenzy of Christmas shopping!
Come along to ReMake Christmas – with Jenny & Lynsey from StudioClub567 and take part in all-sorts of brilliant moneysaving workshops that will help you to ‘make your own Christmas’ using recycled materials and your imagination.
Let’s enjoy a more sustainable Christmas. Save the planet, and save money!
